At Truscott's Tails & Trails I offer both solo and group walks, as well as pop in services and pet sitting. My visits are specifically tailored to your pets individual needs, making their happiness and wellbeing the main priority, and ensuring they are getting plenty of exercise, attention and mental stimulation.

Truscott’s Tails & Trails began because of my love for animals and desire to provide a reliable and trustworthy dog walking and pet sitting service for busy pet owners.

I have multiple years of experience working within the dog care industry, and have grown up with animals my whole life ranging from hamsters to horses! There is no doubt I fall in love with any animal I meet, making me confident handling all animals whilst being calm and sympathetic for new animals to get to know me and for me to gain their trust.

Our Commitment

At Truscott’s Tails & Trails, I am committed to providing a safe and fun environment for your dog. I am fully insured, DBS certified, canine first aid trained and hold a pet sitting & dog walking diploma.

My main aim is to provide pet owners with the peace of mind that their pets are happy, well cared for and safe in my hands.

Dog walking & pet sitting services

Solo dog walks

Solo dog walks are available in both 30 minute or 60 minute walks. Solo walks are ideal for dogs that can be nervous or unsure around other dogs, reactive dogs or dogs that simply want to take it at a slower pace. Solo walks are predominantly taken in your local area, however a 60 minute solo can be taken to a walking location a short drive away if more suited.

Group dog walks are available for friendly dogs to have the opportunity to safely socialise under experienced supervision. They are the perfect opportunity for your dogs to go on fun adventures and make new friends, burning off energy and reaching the natural fulfillment of a dog. Group walks will be a maximum of 4 dogs, to ensure each dog still gets the time and attention they deserve from me!

*Please note, a minimum of 3 solo walks are required before your dog will be introduced into a group walk, to allow me to carry out a sufficient behavioural assessment so that groups are as compatible as possible for your dogs safety and levels of fun!

Pop ins

Day pet sitting

Pop Ins are available for 15 and 30 minute visits. 15 minute visits are suitable for small animals such as reptiles, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs etc that need feeding and a quick clean whilst you may be away. (please note a 30 min pop in is advised for full clean out, feeding and loving attention).

Our 30 minute pop in visits are also suitable for cat or dog visits who don't require a walk but just fuss and attention whilst you are out!

Pop in services include, but are not restricted to; feeding, cleaning of litter trays/enclosures, toilet breaks, administering medication, and having lots of fun playing, training and general fuss!

Day pet sitting

My day pet sitting service is perfect if you are going out for the day or evening, but don't want to leave your dog(s) home alone whilst you are out. Ideal for dogs that suffer with separation anxiety, puppies that can only be left for short periods or simply if your dog(s) would benefit from some company during that time!

Day pet sitting also has the added benefit of your dogs daily routine being disturbed as little as possible, where we will follow their own personal routine to keep stress levels low, ensuring they remain happy and content in your absence.

over night pet sitting

Overnight pet sitting is carried out in the comfort of your pets own home which is perfect to help keep them as relaxed and stress free as possible while you are away. This in turn takes away the worry about how your fur babies are getting on.

This service is tailored to your pets specific needs, and keeps them on their normal daily routine. Overnight pet sitting also has the added benefit of home security whilst you are away!

All overnight dog sittings include a 30 minute walk per day (longer or additional walks are available at an extra, discounted fee).

Meet and greet

Before any initial service is booked, a free meet and greet is required which gives me the opportunity to meet both yourself and your lovely pet, as well as you and your pet getting to know me! As a pet owner myself, I know just how important it is to be able to trust and rely on someone to look after our fur babies, so a meet and greet is the perfect opportunity to help everyone feel comfortable, relaxed and at ease. A meet and greet also allows me to perform a basic behavioural assessment on your pet to ensure a smooth introduction to the Truscott's Tails & Trails crew!

At your meet and greet, we will have a general chat about the service you are requiring, what I can offer you and mainly a chat about your pet(s) (and who doesn't love talking about their pets?!), as well as going through paperwork and getting you booked in!
